Meet Laurence
Founder of Light Up Again
Laurence spent many years as a secondary school teacher in Belgium. She specialized in guiding teenagers through key life stages, helping them build confidence, direction, and self-trust.
For over 25 years, she also organized and led journeys across Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America. Travel was never just logistics for her, it was transformation in motion.
But despite a stable career and a structured life, a deeper question kept surfacing:
Is this the life I want to model for my child?
Her first journey to Egypt marked a turning point. The desert, the Red Sea, the ancient lands; something aligned.
Returning to her old life felt misaligned. So she made a decisive choice. She left her secure job, her home, and everything predictable to build a new life in Egypt with her family.
Today, Laurence combines her background in education, coaching, Ikigai guidance, and embodied practices to design structured, transformative retreats for families, teens, and adults in transition.
Her work is grounded, practical, and deeply human.
She doesn’t sell escape. She guides change.
And she leads from lived experience.
